the we could

we could think horrible thoughts together
tucked under the covers of a stranger's bed

touching parts in the dark, underestimating
the lure of breaking points and bending rules

our tangled feet in adjective rigmaroles
for all the world to wake up to on sunday

through stained glass window pains
in arch ways worthy of divinations and rituals

spear-wielding cherubs in new formula pampers
ring our wrists in a game they call 'rose garden'

and your right ear starts bleeding
from two of my eight teeth marks

Whew, a return to form! My eyebrows arch over with a little crypticism. I'm beginning to wonder if there is not a slight touch of vampirism in Poets 101 this week! That number almost reminds me of fangs.
Cheers

a return to form? you mean, it doesn't suck ^_^
fantastic

yes, i have been posting whatever, but i have begun to realize that i have always posted whatever. the crap poems just make the good poems look that much better, and it's all in the vein of experimentation and blogging.

i do not think of my blog as some holy grounds for my best poems; that's what paper is for. instead, i treat my blog like i used to treat my composition notebooks (you know, the blotch cow-patterned ones?). i have a collection of about 12 since i started writing poetry when i was 14. the blog has suplimented them, as all tangible things are now overthrown by the mysticism and potential collapse of everything intangible.

i'm not afraid of loosing poems any more. if they are all lost, it just gives me an exucse to go back and write them all over again, but better (i hope).

i know i didn't have to go into all that just now, but felt inspired, suppose.

anyway, thanks glenn for the attention ^_^

ah and the vampiristic (just made that word up) qualities popping up (have been noticing too, in a few poems, and some not even involved with poets101; see torn labels (hardy's) most recent)

too many ()'s?

I agree that a blog is no holy ground for best works etc - and you can always delete posts in the future. I too throw everything up, and some definitely miss the mark! I just enjoy writing them and reading others. That said , I still think that this one is one of the best from the last week or so :-)
