Ffff--fantastic. I keep meaning to comment on yours k k k katy...it's so rare to find someone who spells their name the traditional way, with a "y" the way you do, and the way we named our daughter, Katherine but to be Katy with a "y". I agree with Beth incidentally, you've captured so much that's local in your poem...it's wonderful.
