i saw a bluejay this morning, amidst the grey and damp. it made me appreciate the full spectrum of life, of color, of emotions, and possibilities. it made me feel good that i could identify it easily. the bluejay gives us all this gift. it sacrificed camouflage to make me feel smarter (okay, maybe not, but it felt that way in the instant i saw the bird). and it made me smile at the audacity of a bird so bright, in a surrounding so dull. thank you bluejay, for brightening my mind, heart, and day.
