we took the kitten to the produce department
of the local grocery store to weigh him
in one of those aluminum fruit baskets
with scales hanging over head
if he were made of grapes
he'd have cost us nine dollars and eighty cents
he's worth much more than that though,
especially because he's not made of grapes.

That's cute, Katy!! I like grapes! But I like kittens even more. Actually, though, I paid about $10 for grapes last week... :)
*LOL!* this made me imagine a bunch of grapes forming the shape of a cat. Mike's right: this is really cute.
It also reminds me of that kindergarten song about a hotdog and a pound...can't quite remember...do you? Help!
Good thing he's not made of grapes, think of the stains on the furniture...
