Have just had to put down a long term friend myself - Harry the 16yo tuxedo cat. Still see him about the place, out of the corner of my eye. Funny though, just reading your initial comment about Facebook, & your wish to maintain your blog, being "all yours". Have just made the same decision, to keep going with my (revamped) blog, as opposed to Facebook only.
